Mosley hosts Arnold this Friday as one of two remaining undefeated teams
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -The high school football season is in Week 8, with two teams still without a loss: 6-0 Cottondale and 6-0 Mosley.
Mosley head coach Tommy Joe Whiddon has his team at 2-0 in the conference, beating Chiles 36-0 in Week 4 and Lincoln 35-7 in Week 6.
The Dolphins are coming off a bye week. Whiddon said his players used the time to recover and fine-tune their offense as they prepare for Arnold, another district game.
Mosley’s offense averages 32.5 points per game, backed by a rushing attack that averages 166 yards per game.
Whiddon was asked about his team’s success this season.
“Obviously, to start the season, you have aspirations of what you want to accomplish,” Whiddon said. “And, you know, to get to the bye week and be 6-0, I’m just proud of the work that our guys have put in and just excited to be where we’re at as a football team right now. We’re just trying to take it one day at a time, make sure that we maximize our work and our potential for that day. And when you stack up enough days in a row, hopefully it gets us to our ultimate goal.”
The Arnold-Mosley game is set for this Friday at 7 p.m.
