PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) — Panama City Beach Parks and Recreation hosted its annual fall festival and market at Aaron Bessant Park, drawing families to enjoy local vendors, food trucks and fall-themed activities.

Vanessa Rogiano, recreation coordinator, said the event gives the community a reason to celebrate the season.

“I think it’s great that we do this event every year. Because it gives everyone a reason to come out for a free event and enjoy the weather and get in the spirit for fall. Meet local vendors and see what’s around the community. They can get involved in the community and meet new people,” Rogiano said.

Vendors and activities fill the park

Violet Evans, a fall festival attendee, said there was plenty to see at the farmer’s market.

“There’s so many things to explore and there’s always new things to eat or buy at the farmers market… like cookies,” Evans said.

Community members and pets attended the free event. The grounds included live music, photo booths and goods from more than 60 vendors.

Kids zone features rock wall and face painting

The event also included a kid’s zone with first responders, a rock wall and face painting.

Panama City Parks and Recreation has Paws in the Park coming up Oct. 17 and the Youth Fishing Rodeo on Oct. 23.
